The objective of the GISVET 2007 conference is to provide an international
forum for researchers and officials interested in advancing
applications of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, spatial
analyses, statistical techniques and modelling, to challenges
in veterinary science, veterinary public health and zoonotics.
The GISVET conferences are becoming the main forum for the presentation
of research into the spatial epidemiology of diseases of animals,
including livestock and wildlife, and zoonotic diseases of concern to public
health.
The conference will focus on presentation of methods for analysis of
spatial data as well as applications of methods within veterinary
public health in general and especially within zoonoses.
For those with a special interest in avian influenza, be aware that the
theme of the final days workshop will be on application of GIS to
the understanding and control of avian influenza. The special workshop
will be held the last afternoon with the topic: Zoonoses with
emphasis on Avian Influenza.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to Copenhagen.
